Equal Opportunity Office (EOO)/Title IX Coordinator

The EOO/Title IX Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that UGA complies with all applicable laws and policies regarding discrimination on the basis of race, sex (including sexual harassment or violence, dating/domestic violence, stalking and pregnancy), gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity or national origin, religion, age, genetic information, disability or veteran status.

UGA Ombudsperson

The University of Georgia ombudspersons serve as third-party information providers who remain neutral while assisting individuals in having their concerns addressed through appropriate channels, including those related to discrimination and harassment.

UGA Police Department Personal Safety Program

The University of Georgia Police Department takes great pride in educating the University Community and citizenry of Athens-Clarke County in Personal Safety for women.

The University Council has functions as the rule-making body of the University of Georgia, serving the goal of promoting the educational interests of the University.

Unplanned at UGA

​UnPlanned@UGA is a politically neutral student organization that provides support and services to pregnant students and student-mothers at UGA. It offers peer support and partners with local counselors, medical providers, attorneys and UGA faculty.

Women's Leadership Initiative

UGA has launched an initiative to enhance the representation of women in leadership roles on campus. The Women’s Leadership Initiative is addressing issues such as recruitment and hiring, career development, work-life balance and leadership development.

Work/Life Balance

​The University of Georgia Work/Life Balance Coordinator, which is part of the Human Resources Department, works to provide resources to employees helping to achieve a healthy work/life balance. Resources include information about workplace issues and flexibility, child and elder care, volunteer opportunities and health programs.
